(In Nigeria) Rapper Odumodublvck Says Declan Rice Song Is About Cultural Impact, Not Football Skills

 

Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has reignited conversations across social media, insisting that the viral popularity of Declan Rice has less to do with the footballer’s skills and more to do with the cultural impact of his hit song bearing the same name.

According to the rapper, the track Declan Rice became a global anthem that rose from the underground scene and turned into a movement. He argued that every time the Arsenal midfielder is mentioned or makes a major move, streaming numbers for the song surge a phenomenon he believes proves the music, not the footballer, is fueling the buzz.

Odumodublvck also pointed out that the track played a key role in the UK’s football scene, even being used to announce one of the Premier League's biggest signings.
