Israeli Military Intercepts Missile Launched from Yemen

 

The Israeli military announced on Sunday that it successfully intercepted a missile launched from Yemen toward Israel. Sirens sounded in various regions across Israel following the missile launch.

Since October 2023, during the Israel-Hamas conflict, Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis have fired numerous missiles at Israel in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza. Most of these missiles have been intercepted or have fallen short of their targets.

The Houthis have not yet commented on the latest missile attack. The interception demonstrates ongoing tensions and regional instability linked to the broader Israel-Palestine conflict and Iran-backed groups in the Middle East.
