UK MP Nadia Whittome Slams Supreme Court Ruling, Champions Trans Rights.


 

Nadia Whittome, the Labour Party MP for Nottingham East, has sparked debate in the UK with her strong reaction to a recent Supreme Court ruling and raised concerns about its effects on trans women. 


She reaffirmed her daily commitment to standing in solidarity with the trans community and urged continuous advocacy for trans rights. 


Her post has sparked debate, drawing both support and opposition, including from within the LGBTQ+ community.

Elected in 2019 at age 23, Whittome became the youngest MP in Parliament. 

She is openly queer, of Punjabi and Anglo-Indian descent, and known for her progressive stance on social justice. 

In Parliament, she has championed LGBTQ+ rights, famously stating “There is no LGB without the T.” 

She returned to care work during the pandemic and has received multiple awards for her activism.
