Nottingham Forest pulled off a sensational 1-0 victory against Manchester United, with Anthony Elanga delivering a dagger to his former team. 

The 22-year-old winger, who left United for Forest in 2023 for £15 million, scored just five minutes into the match at the City Ground. Picking up the ball in his own half, he sprinted past defenders and smashed it past Andre Onana, securing a famous win. It was a moment of magic that underlined Forest’s growing stature in the Premier League.

Amorim on United’s loss: “We controlled it, deserved more, but we need to be better in the last third.” 

United’s boss Ruben Amorim was left frustrated, blaming his team’s wastefulness in front of goal.
