Wilmer-Hutchins High School is Sparking Controversy in The US because that's the school in southeast Dallas where the police responded to a shooting incident today, April 15.
The police received the call at about 13:00 hrs when a Dallas Fire-Rescue source told WFAA that a 17-year-old was shot in the leg.
While full details of the shooting incident are currently sketchy, helicopter footage from multiple news outlets showed police vehicles, fire trucks, and paramedics surrounding the Wilmer-Hutchins High School.
The school was also evacuated, with students moved to a nearby stadium and parents asked to stay away from the premises.
