Ali Ndume is trending in Nigeria because the senator is currently receiving attention for his harsh criticism of Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
Speaking in an interview with Channels Television, Senator Ndume described the Special Adviser as a person who wanted to be in the Senate but "ended up becoming a senior domestic servant".

Senator Ndume's derogatory description of Bayo Onanuga served as clapback at The Special Adviser who recently labelled the senator a "hypocritical brander", following an earlier interview where Ali Ndume expressed disapproval with President Tinubu's "lopsidedness in political appointments ".
In an interview with Arise TV a week ago, Senator Ali Ndume slammed President Tinubu for favouritism in political appointments, an action which the senator emphasized to be contrary to the provisions of the federal character.
