Vybz Kartel is making waves in Global Entertainment because the Jamaican singer is currently receiving praise for his electrifying performance on the first night of his ongoing Reggae Fest. The singer who sold out the 17,000 capacity Barclays Center in Brooklyn, enthralled the crowd so much that a second date-tonight-was added for the concert by the organisers. The Reggae Fest concert marks Vybz Kartel's first performance in 20 years in the United States, after serving a decade in prison for the murder of his associate Clive "Lizard" Williams, a crime he maintains he did not commit. In 2013, Kartel was charged with murder and illegal possession of a firearm. The following year, he was sentenced to life in prison after a 64-day trial, among the longest in Jamaica's history. Last year, Kartel’s conviction was overturned by a London court, the final court of appeal for some Jamaican cases.
