Elton John Breaks Down in Tears: The Emotional Story Behind His New Album

 



Elton John has opened up about the emotional experience of making his new album, "Who Believes in Angels?", a collaborative project with Brandi Carlile. In a recent interview on the SmartLess podcast, the 78-year-old music legend revealed that he broke down in tears while working on a song called "When This Old World Is Done with Me", which deals with themes of aging and mortality. John recalled receiving lyrics from Bernie Taupin and becoming overwhelmed with emotion as he realized the song was about his own death. He shared that he thought to himself, "How much time have I got left?" and began to think about his children and husband. The emotional moment was captured on film and will be featured in a short film documenting the album-making process. The album, "Who Believes in Angels?", is set to be released on April 4, along with the short film, which will premiere at 92NY in New York City.
