Diddy Lawsuit Dropped Over Accuser's Anonymity Refusal.

A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit against Sean "Diddy" Combs after the accuser, known as Jane Doe, refused to reveal her identity. The lawsuit, filed in October, alleged that Combs raped Jane Doe at a 1995 party in New York for a Biggie Smalls music video. However, U.S. District Court Judge Lewis J. Liman ruled that Jane Doe could not proceed with her case anonymously and ordered her to re-file her complaint using her real name.

Despite the court's order, Jane Doe's legal team stated that she decided not to come forward due to fear of public scrutiny. Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee, who represents Jane Doe, acknowledged that the decision was made to avoid the "media circus" and perceived danger. Buzbee emphasized that each case stands on its own merit and respected Jane Doe's decision not to proceed.

Combs' legal team responded to the ruling by denouncing anonymous complaints against the hip-hop mogul. They stated that this is the second case brought by Buzbee's team that has been dismissed in its entirety and predicted that other similar claims would not hold up in court. Combs is currently facing dozens of sexual assault lawsuits and criminal sex crimes charges, with his trial scheduled for May 5.
