The situation has put Olmo and Víctor’s eligibility to play in doubt, even though they’ve been active thanks to a temporary approval from the Spanish Superior Sports Council earlier this year.

That provisional fix is now under threat, and a final decision from the council is expected by April 7, 2025. Barcelona’s ongoing financial struggles have been a rollercoaster, and this latest twist could shake up their squad if they can’t sort it out soon. The club might need to appeal again or tweak their financial approach to get back on track with La Liga’s rules.
