200 Level OOU Student Arrested for Murder of FUNAAB Undergrad

 A second year student of philosophy at the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun state, Ayomide Adeleye, has been arrested by operatives of the Ogun State Police for the murder of Christianah Idowu, a third year student of Pure and Applied Botany at The Federal University of Agriculture Abekouta, Ogun state. According to reports, Ayomide abducted Christianah on 19 August 2024 in the Yaba area of Lagos while she had been on her way to The University of Lagos where she was undertaking her compulsory industrial training (IT), he had gone on to demand a 3 million naira ransom from Christianah's relatives using the victim's own WhatsApp number.

Ayomide Adeleye who demanded that the ransom be paid into a betting account, had his cellphone tracked by police operatives who traced him to his parents home in Ikorodu, Lagos on 3rd September 2024. Upon his arrest and interrogation, Ayomide confessed to have murdered and buried Christianah in the backyard of his parents' home, it was also discovered that Christianah and her murderer had been members of the same church. Emerging reports have revealed that in 2018 and 2020 respectively, Ayomide Adeleye murdered an ex-girlfriend and his own sister in manners similar to how he took Christianah's life.
