Following the presidency's announcement of a 1 billion naira investment into Nigeria by beverage conglomerate Coca-Cola, Nigerians have questioned the authenticity of the claim made on social media by the official handle of The Federal Government of Nigeria. The post stated that President Tinubu had secured another win for Nigeria after a meeting with Coca-Cola's local and global executives. The alleged investment is to run over a period of 5 years.
Reacting to this latest effort of the president to revive the country's economy, Nigerians have resurrected a publication dates November 3rd 2022, which stated that former vice president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, had hailed The Coca-Cola Company over a proposed 1 billion naira investment which would be for a five year duration. The resurrected publication has left a series of questions in the minds of curious netizens, foremost of which is how many times Coca-Cola intends to invest 1 billion naira in Nigeria for a 5 year period. Nigerians further wondered if the latest 1 billion naira Coca-Cola investment claim by the president Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration is because the beverage company failed to stick to the first promise made the Muhammadu Buhari administration in 2021.
