In a video making the rounds on the internet, General of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has narrated how an anointed handkerchief obtained from the church led to the resurrection of an 12 day old embalmed corpse. The General Overseer recounted that a member of his church who suffered the loss his sister had exercised his spiritual faith by placing the anointed handkerchief on the face of the embalmed corpse, thus leading to a resurrection of the body.

Reacting to the story, netizens have harshly criticized the general overseer and the entire administration of the Redeemed Christian Church of God for constantly permitting their GO to make "ridiculous and scientifically impossible" claims. Some netizens strongly called for the resignation or retirement of pastor Adeboye as the new generation of Christians have no interest in listening to such fabricated stories that make a ridicule of the sanctity of Christianity and the name of the Lord.
