African Television and the African Foundation for Justice have announced a N50 million reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the mysterious death of Nigerian artist Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.
The 27-year-old singer died on September 12, 2023, under controversial circumstances that have sparked widespread protests and outrage.
Despite a coroner's inquest, the autopsy results were inconclusive due to the decomposed state of the body, leaving the cause of death unknown.
"We need answers, and we need them now," said Larry Omodia, CEO of African Television and the African Foundation for Justice.
Omodia commended the Nigerian police for their ongoing investigation and announced the reward, urging anyone with information to come forward.
"We guarantee safety and a financial reward of N50 million for anyone who provides information leading to the conviction of those responsible for Mohbad's death," he said.
