Unnamed individuals have perpetrated the murder of Dr. Kamar Abdulkadir, a faculty member in the Department of Physical and Health Education at the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID).
Reports indicate that the lecturer was fatally attacked within his office.
The tragic incident occurred on Sunday, where the assailants entered his office undetected and assaulted him with a knife and hammer.

The details of the incident were disclosed on Monday by Zagazola Makama, a security analyst specializing in counter-insurgency in the Lake Chad region, through his online platform.
Makama revealed that the victim succumbed to his injuries, inflicted by the assailants who also absconded with his vehicle and other possessions.
Makama further stated that during the struggle, Dr. Abdulkadir attempted to fend off the attackers, resulting in severe injuries to his hands.
The attackers mercilessly used a hammer to fatally strike his head and spinal cord. As of now, neither the Borno State Police Command nor the university authorities have issued any official statements regarding the lecturer's murder.
