Following the death of veteran Nollywood actor Amaechi Muonagor on 24th March 2024 barely a few weeks after the death of another veteran actor John Okafor better known as Mr Ibu, National President of The Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, has put up a post dispelling rumours of the supposed death of another critically ill veteran actor, Zack Orji. In his post on this official social media account, the president of the guild urged Nigerians to ignore mischief makers who enjoy circulating bad news. Emeka Rollas fervently prayed that Zack Orji "would not die but live to declare the good works of God".
It will be recalled that on 31st December 2023, public reports revealed that Zack Orji had been hospitalized at the intensive care unit of The National Hospital, Abuja. President of The Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, had confirmed the news while stating that the sixty-three year old thespian had slumped in the restroom at his home two days before public revelation and has been rushed unconscious to the hospital.
