A 21 year old student identified as Francis Marvellous, has been arrested by operatives of the Imo State Police Command for allegedly stabbing another student, Chinagorom Marvellous Kingsley, a 22 year old student to death. The duo prior to the stabbing incident, were third and final year students of the Imo State University. According to reports, the victim, who was a member of the Man 'O' War unit of the university had been involved in a heated argument with Francis Marvellous which led to Francis attacking Chinagorom with a knife.

Confirming the unfortunate stabbing which led to Chinagorom's demise, Public Relations Officer of the Imo State Police, Henry Okoye, revealed that following a distress call, Francis was rescued from an angry mob and arrested by officers of the law. The police PRO further confirmed that the suspect had confessed to the crime, admitting that he stabbed the victim with a knife during a heated argument with members of the university’s Man O’ War unit. Henry Okoye also revealed that another male student whose identity remains unconfirmed was involved in the "argument" and had also lost his life in the process. Several other students were also said to have sustained injuries in the ensuing commotion after Chinagorom's fatal stabbing.
