The mutilated remains of a woman identified as Kudirat Abolarinwa, have been discovered by members of a search party set up to find her after she was suddenly declared missing on Saturday, 9th March 2024. The deceased, Kudirat Abolarinwa, who until her tragic death had resided in Lekere, located in the Ayeyemi Area of Ondo Town, Ondo State, had been a trader who sold plantains. According to reports, the 45 year old plantain Seller had been declared missing after she failed to return home from one trips to the far to purchase plantains.

Anonymous narrations state that Mrs Abolarinwa had accompanied a yet unknown farmer to his farm to obtain his produce, upon her failure to return at the usual time, a search party was sent forward and after thorough search, the trader was discovered in a pool of her own blood inside the bush where she had reportedly accompanied the unknown farmer to buy plantains. Official reports given by the Ondo State Police Command upon commencement of investigation, revealed that the position in which Mrs Abolarinwa's corpse was discovered, had indicated sexual assault with deep cuts showing that she had been repeatedly macheted by her yet unknown assailant.
Confirming the mysterious and unfortunate incident, Public Relations Officer of the Ondo State Police Command, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, stated: "On Saturday, around 5pm, one Tajudeen Bolarinwa of Ago R⁹oad, Onipetesi village reported that at about 4.30pm, his wife Mrs Kudirat Bolarinwa aged 45 years, who goes from one farm to the other to buy kola nuts was murdered in the bush by an unknown person. At the scene of the incident, the deceased was left with only pant and the side of her face, lower arm, and head were severely macheted. An investigation had since commenced to unravel the circumstances of her subsequent death.”
