Coconut Retrieved from Man's Anus

A 56 year old Taiwanese male has undergone emergency surgery to remove a coconut from his anus. The coconut had wedged itself in the unnamed man's privates after he used the fruit for sexual stimulation while masturbating(he had apparently been seeking stimulation). All efforts made by the man to remove the wedged coconut from his rectum in the next two days, proved abortive and led to a case of severe constipation as a result of abdominal pain.

Upon the unnamed male's admittance into the emergency room, scans showed the coconut was lodged in his rectum, compressing his urethra and preventing him from urinating. The coconut, measuring 9cm in length, was then extracted via laparotomy an operation that involves opening the abdomen. The date of the incident was not revealed in the case report by medics at E-Da Hospital in Kaohsiung City, located in the south of Taiwan. While stating that the patient had been lucky to remain alive, Director of the general medical surgery at the E-Da Hospital, Dr Chen Zhiyi, warned local residents of the dangers of such an act.
