Chinese Man Rescued from Kidnappers' Den in Kwara State

 Operatives of The Kwara State Police Command have confirmed the rescue of Mr PengChao Zhang, a Chinese national, from the clutches of his abductors in a forest located in the state. Mr Zhang who was reportedly abducted on 10 March, by a gang comprising six armed men at the Cherish Guest House located(where he had been for about two months) in Eyenkorin on the outskirts of Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, was rescued on Tuesday March 19 2024, after spending an estimated ten days in the company of his abductors.

Confirming the news of the Chinaman's rescue, Spokesperson of The Kwara State Police Command, Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, assured that Mr Zhang had been reunited with his relatives while stating that the rescue mission was carried out through diligent and coordinated efforts as well as a series of strategic searches by the Tactical Team division of the Kwara State Police. The Police PRO also proudly declared that the rescue of the Chinese national "underscores the unwavering commitment of the Kwara State Police Command to ensuring the safety and security of all residents and visitors within the state.”
