Man Dies in The Middle of Selfie Attempt with Lion

 A 38 year old man identified as Prahlad Gujjar, has passed away after he jumped into a lion's enclosed cage at a zoo. The now deceased sightseer, who was mauled to death by the lion, had reportedly jumped into the lion's cage at the Sri Venkateswara Zoological Park in Tirupati, India, to take a selfie photo with the lion. Prahlad Guhjjar, a resident of Alwar district, in Rajasthan, was believed to have been in an intoxicated state as he had somehow managed to scale a 12 foot high fence, in order to gain access to the Asiatic lion's enclosure.

Confirming the bizarre and unfortunate incident which occurred on Thursday, 15 February 2024, Tirupati police superintendent, Mallika Garg, said that the security guard had raised an alarm when they saw the deceased trying to scale the fence and ran towards him. He however, jumped into the water tank inside the enclosure. In the police superintendent's words: “When he saw the security guard running towards him, Gujjar jumped onto a water tank and climbed over the 12-foot-high fence surrounding the enclosure, which has a lion and two lionesses. He jumped and fell in front of the lion, which mauled him. He died on the spot.”
