A man identified simply as Tony, has reportedly beheaded his girlfriend in the Kabeama community in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. It is currently unknown why Tony chose to behead and his girlfriend named Ebibraladei Maxuel, with whom he shared one daughter. According to reports, Spokesman of the police in the state, ASP Musa Muhammed, who confirmed the incident, said the command would issue a statement on the incident. was beheaded by her baby daddy at about 3:00am on Saturday 3rd February and her headless corpse was discovered at dawn by neighbours. Tony was apprehended by these residents and handed over to the authorities.
Further reports state that the remains of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue of the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa, while the suspect has been detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Spokesman of the Bayelsa state police, ASP Musa Muhammed, who confirmed the gruesome incident, said the command would issue a statement on further development regarding the beheading.
