KWASU Deputy Bursar Dies in The Middle of AFCON Match

 Deputy Bursar of the Kwara State University, Alhaji Ayuba Abdullahi, has passed away. The deputy bursar who passed away on Wednesday 7th February 2024, died while watching the semi-final match between Nigeria's Super Eagles and South Africa's Bafana Bafana, towards the Africa Cup of Nations final. According to sources, Alhaji Ayuba Abdullahi went to a sports centre in Sango to watch the match but as the game progressed, he felt physically uneasy.  Unknown to the university don, his apparent unease had spiked his blood pressure and eventually led to his demise.

Confirming the Deputy Bursar's death Kwara State University's Director of Information, Dr Saedat Aliyu, stated: "“Yes, he died last night. He was hale and hearty and was full of life on Wednesday at his office. May Almighty Allah grant him Aljanah Firdaus." She also stated that the deceased would be interred at the Hausa Muslim cemetery, Apata Yakuba, Oyun area, Ilorin, on the morning of Thursday 8th February, 2024.
