General Overseer of of Liberation Word Based Assembly International, located in Aba, Abia State, Peculiar Ginika, has been taken into custody by the police on allegations of sexual abuse and coercion of a 17 year old girl whose family were staunch members of his church. Father of the victim, had reported the clergyman's abuse of his daughter to The Rapid Response Squad and the accused was immediately taken into custody.

According to sources, the 17 year old victim in narrating her ordeal, stated that Pastor Ginika had started his sexual abuse from the time she was 15 years old by claiming that his sexual defilement was in order to heal her of her persistent asthma, a respiratory condition she had suffered since the age of 8. The teenage victim further reported that the pastor had warned her to keep his immoral activities a secret and through the help of a local nurse, had repeatedly forced the 17 year old to swallow contraceptive pills after each sexual defilement. Pastor Peculiar Ginika was before his arrest, reportedly popular in the neighbourhood for his "deliverance sessions".
