"Declare State of Emergency" Pentecostal Fellowship Urges Tinubu

 THE Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), has implored President Bola Tinubu to declare a state of emergency in the country, as a result of the rising insecurity which is a threat to the peace of the nation. Making reference to politicians who participated in but lost in the last presidential election, the religious organisation also appealed to all opposition leaders to "drop their tools” and join hands with President Tinubu to build the country at a critical time such as this.

Speaking at the joint meeting between the Christian Pentecostal Fellowship (CPF) and The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), national president of the PFN, Bishop Wale Oke, in addition to his call for a declaration of a state of emergency, detailed many instances of the current economic hardship faced by Nigerians, ranging from the incessant rise of the dollar value against the naira, rising cost of a bag of cement, amongst other commodities. The PFN president urged his fellow spiritual advisors and clergymen to keep praying for the country as well as for God to guide the president.
