"Civil Servants to Work Part-time" Sanwo-Olu Magnanimously Declares

 Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced that civil servants who are employees of the Lagos State Government, will be permitted to work in hybrid fashion, as means to mitigate the current economic hardship. The governor revealed that the civil servants(from levels 1-14) will be in offices thrice weekly and work from home the other two days of the week. Exempted from the hybrid mode of work are employees in teaching services, who are expected to be available at work all five days of the week.

Governor Sanwo-Olu however assured that the government will ensure additional support via transportation allowance and other means, in order to reduce the financial burden on these exempted employees in the teaching service. The governor also stated that a bid to help with the now alarming cost of living, his administration would open more markets where Lagosians can buy food items at discounted rates. In the governor's words while speaking to members of the press: “We will open Sunday Markets in at least 42 identified markets across Lagos State. You will be able to buy food items at a discounted price. You will only be able to buy items worth up to N25,000."
