Singers and songwriters Simisola Bolatito Kosoko and Adekunle Almoruf Kosoko, professionally known as Simi and Adekunle Gold aka AG Baby, have celebrated their fifth anniversary as a married couple. The husband and wife took to their respective Instagram pages to share heartwarming messages of appreciation for each other. Referring to her husband as the best man she knows as well as her best friend, Simi thanked him for contributing his DNA for them to make the most beautiful child.

Adekunle Gold and Simi tied the knot in January 2019 after five years of being in a relationship. They share a daughter, Adejare, who was born on 30th May 2020. Before their daughter's birth, Simi released a song titled 'Duduke', making her unborn baby, a symbol of love and hope. On 15 July 2022, Adekunle Gold publicly spoke of his lifelong battle with sickle cell disease, that inspired his song titled "5 Star".
