In a now deleted viral video posted on the social media platform X, by social media page of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, netizens have dragged the Church's general overseer Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, for his prophetic declaration. In the video, the general overseer to a loud chorus of "Amen", told his congregation that their colleague "will be coming to you for food". Pastor Adeboye also declared that all of the members of his congregation will become go-to persons in their respective families.

Reacting harshly and negatively to the video, netizens accused the general overseer of misleading his congregation and showering them with selfish declarations. They further wondered why other people's downfall is required before members of The Redeemed Christian Church of God can attain wealth or success. These netizens also urged the church on its social media page to urge the general overseer to take his retirement as signs of old age was becoming rather evident in his recent utterances.
