An employee of a bank in Lagos who held a marketing role and identified as Amarachi Ugochukwu, has taken her own life in the restroom of her bank. According to sources, the deceased who worked at an Ikorodu branch of Globus Bank bank, ingested the deadly insecticide Sniper, on Monday 8th January 2024 and was found dead in the restroom. Explaining her reasons for her action in a suicide note, the bank marketer detailed the difficulty of living and a messed up mind. She also extended apologises to a number of names listed on the suicide note.

Reports of thirty-two year old Amarachi Ugochukwu's suicide was made to the police by the bank manager who revealed that her mobile phone was discovered at about 1:00pm after endless calls to her number went unanswered, thus necessitating a search. The bank manager further stated that one of the restrooms in the office was forcefully opened after realisation that it was locked from inside, thus leading to the discovery of the employee's lifeless body, insecticide and suicide note. Police detectives were called to the scene and the corpse moved to The Ikorodu General Hospital where an autopsy is expected to be conducted.
