Barely two months after comedian and filmmaker Ayo Makun better known as AY and his wife Mabel celebrated their 15th anniversary, Mabel Makun has put up a series of cryptic posts on her Instagram page. In her posts, Mabel alleged threat to life and while neglecting to mention a name, stated that if anything happened to her, one person was to be held responsible. The interior designer further claimed that she had been abused emotionally and "all round" for too long. Netizens have also discovered that the husband and wife(Mabel and Ayo Makun) have unfollowed each other on their respective Instagram pages.

Ayo and Mabel Makun have been married since November 2008 and have two daughters together. Mabel is an interior designer and entrepreneur, she's also the CEO of Midas Interiors limited. Ayo Makun first came into spotlight when he was comedian Alibaba Akporobome's personal assistant and event manager. He wrote going "A.Y wire" as a guest columnist in The Sun (Nigeria) and Gbenga Adeyinka's "Laugh Mattaz". His younger brother is celebrity stylist, fashion designer and CEO of Yomi Casual, Omoniyi Makun.
