"I Will Not Miss The Pepper Soup..."French Ambassador Informs Nigerians

 Diplomat and outgoing French ambassador to Nigeria, Emmanuelle Blatmann while reminiscing on her stay in the country, stated that she would not miss Nigerian Pepper Soup. Speaking to the press of her departure, the French diplomat who declared her dislike of the spicy Nigerian broth however agreed that she'd miss the country’s weather, people, music and other meals like jollof rice and puff-puff.  In her words: "I will be very honest with you and blunt, I will not miss the pepper soup because it’s too peppery. You people tried to kill me several times."

Ms Blatmann listed music and dancing as some of the things she'd miss in the country. Upon completion of her tenure as French ambassador to Nigeria, Emmanuelle Blatmann is set to take up a new role as the director for Africa in her country's capital, Paris. Before her appointment as ambassador to Nigeria in October 2021, the diplomat was ambassador of France to Sudan from 2017 to 2021. Ms Blatmann who has dual master's degrees in English and international relations, is in addition to her native French, a fluent speaker of English, Arabic and Italian.
