The Nigeria Police Force has revealed that two police officers who were filmed demanding monetary briber dutch female biker, have been arrested. In the circulating video, the police officers had been on the duty by the roadside when the biker who had been biking to Abuja, accosted her and insisted that they be given money before she could move along despite fervent explanation from the lady that she was on tour Nigeria from The Netherlands. She bewildered tourist asked the police officers why they wanted money from her.

The incident took place at the Ojongbodu area of Iseyin/Ogbomoso Road, Oyo State. Speaking to the biker in pidgin English, the officers said, “Wetin you bring come? Wetin you wan give me? Give me something nah". In a statement post on his social media handle on Friday 8th December, Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, said, “The constabularies were arrested by the police authority for their unprofessional, unacceptable, and punishable act. The police authority has condemned the act and ordered that the men and their supervising Divisional Police Officer be sanctioned accordingly. Such an act is unpoliced and would never be tolerated in any manner. The Force would however intensify efforts in commencing the reorientation programme initiated by the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, for officers and men of the Force to address issues of this nature and reposition the Nigeria Police Force".
