A 35 year old musician identified as Odewala Iseoluwa Akinyele, has been arrested by Operatives of The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps in Ogun state for defilement of his lover's 16 year old daughter. Spokesperson of the Corps, Dyke Ogbonnaya, said the suspect was arrested following a report at the Anti-Human Trafficking Irregular Migration and Gender Unit of the command.

The Spokesperson further revealed that the sexual defilement of the minor was brought to the attention of the authorities after relatives of the unnamed victim took him to the headquarters. Dyke Ogbonnaya also affirmed that the suspect had upon investigation, confessed to the crime and will be charge to court in due course. Speaking to the press, the suspect who doubles as a musician and drummer, said he had been in a relationship with the victim’s mother before she travelled to Israel in 2017. He also revealed that he had fathered a son with the teenage girl's mother and his sexual defilement of his lover's daughter started after she travelled out of the country and relocated to Israel.
