The Nigeria Police Force has said it has pardoned actress, Mercy Isoyip, more known Descushiel for singing the National Anthem wrongly at a public event.
Descushiel had while dressed up in police uniform, led the recitation of the national anthem at the Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers in Owerri, the Imo state capital last week, but she fumbled as she mumbled the words.
The retreat, attended by senior police and military officers, had dignitaries like the Inspector-General of Police, Olukayode Egbetokun, and Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, in attendance.
Descushiel, also a policemen had during the event, aired live on Monday, stood on the stage to render the National Anthem, but muddled up the lyrics, infuriating netizens.

She actress took to her social media page to apologize to Nigerians and the Police authorities.
Te Nigeria Police while responding to the matter on Sunday revealed that the actress has been pardoned for the error.
