Appeal Court Affirms Thaddeus Attah's Electoral Victory

 Following legal battle after the Lagos State National and State House of Assembly Election Petition tribunal sitting in Ikeja, Lagos State,  reportedly annulled the February 25, 2023 election of Labour Party (LP) Lawmaker, Thaddeus Attah as the Representative of the Eti Osa Federal Constituency of Lagos State, An Appeal Court has upheld Mr Attah's victory. Labour Party's Governorship candidate for Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour shared news of Thaddeus Attah's victory at the Appeal Court on his official social media platform.

In the February 25 elections, to the surprise of many stakeholders who considered him a dark horse, Thaddeus Attah had been announced winner by The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) after he defeated Bankole Wellington (Banky W) of the PDP and Babajide Obanikoro of the APC. Attah won the election with a total 24,075 votes while the People's Democratic Party’s Bankole Wellington (singer, actor and Pastor) had placed second with 18,666 votes. Ibrahim Obanikoro of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was declared third place with 16,901 votes.
