A fourth year student of The University of Port Harcourt, identified simply as Collins, has been arrested for the murder of his 19 year old girlfriend, Otuene Justina Nkang. The victim, a third year biochemistry student of the same university, was found dead along Road 15, NTA Road, Port Harcourt after being declared missing by her family, following her failure to return home after the day's closure of the lab where she had been working as part of her industrial training. Justina's boyfriend, Collins, was apprehended by the estate’s security personnel while he had been trying to dispose of her corpse after extracting her eyes and breasts.

Following the alarm raised by the security personnel, neighbours stormed the suspect’s apartment and found more of Justina’s slaughtered body parts in a sack dripping with blood. The police was promptly invited to the scene and Collins is currently in their custody. Unnamed neighbours who were aware of the duo's relationship claimed that the suspect was a well-known "Yahoo Boy" in the area.
