A 26 year old South African woman identified as Dieketseng Sello, has been handed a 13 year prison sentence by a Pretoria High Court for the murder of her 31 year old taxi driver boyfriend, Isaac Molai Moleko in 2021. According to reports, Dieketseng had stabbed her boyfriend with a scissors after she found him with another woman in the apartment they shared in Kotshong. A fight issued after the other woman left and Dieketseng stabbed Isaac 7 times on his body and neck. The victim managed to get outside the house where neighbours called an ambulance that transported him to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.

In court, Sello pled guilty to the charges against her and implored the court through her legal representative to deviate from the prescribed minimum sentence as she had 4 minor children to take care of and was remorseful of her action.When handing down the sentence, Judge Mlotswa agreed with the state that Sello showed no remorse because instead of apologising to the family of the deceased, she moved on with her life, stayed with another man, and gave birth to more children. The judge also revealed that family testified that Sello and Moleko had been involved in a toxic relationship since 2016 and she had repeatedly exhibited violent behaviour towards her now murdered partner.
