Investigative journalist and reporter David Hundenyin, while replying to a video message posted by General Overseer of House on the Rock, Pastor Paul Adefarasin. In the video that attracted David Hundenyin's clapback, the pastor had been giving a sermon on the need to "move on" in metaphoric reference to Nigeria's presidential election and the controversial declaration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

David Hundenyin replied the pastor's tweet telling him that was easy for him to ask people to move on because he had "no skin in the game". The journalist also referred to pastor Adefarasin as a "corrupt flaming asshole" and urged him to keep his opinions to himself. During the period leading to Nigeria's presidential election of February 2023, Pastor Paul Adefarasin had given metaphorical sermons of the biblical Saul and David as well as Saul's short-lived reign as King before being deposed by David. Many supporters of the Labour Party's presidential candidate Mr Peter Obi, had at the time tackled Pastor Adefarasin for indirectly supporting Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the APC with his sermon.
