A social media user identified as Hope Zorben Samuel took to social media to narrate how a "toaster" caused her grievous bodily harm after she rejected his romantic advances. Hope Zorben Samuel, a resident of Rivers state revealed that her assailant named Sunny Bekee from Deeyor community located in Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers state, had repeatedly harassed her to accept his romantic overtures and after consistent rejections, he had traced her to her shop in Biara, physically assaulted her and immediately fled the area.

Narrating her ordeal in a now deleted post on her Facebook profile, Ms Samuel stated: "Ever since he met me in a public vehicle he kept disturbing me and asking my number but I refused to give him and he decided to disturb My life. Earlier yesterday he came to my shop in Biara and got me injured and went away. He us still making threat of taking my life." The victim also attached photos of her bleeding face to her posts on social media.
