Video: "Yul is 41 and I Don't Interfere in his Affairs" Pete Edochie Speaks on Yul's Marital Brouhaha

 Pete Edochi, veteran Nollywood actor, patriarch of the large Edochie family and father of Nollywood actor and producer Yul Edochie, has an interview with Chude Jideonwo, revealed that he was unaware that his youngest son Yul had "picked" a second wife. In recent months, Yul Edochie became a source of extreme social media controversy after he suddenly announced the birth of his child with his mistress turned second wife, Nollywood actress and film producer, Judy Austin Muoghalu. Before the public disclosure of his lovechild and baby mama, Yul had been in a monogamous 16 year old Catholic marriage with mother of his four children, May Yul-Edochie. Judy had also been previously married to a certain Mr Obasi with whom she had three children.

While speaking with Chude Jideonwo on an episode of the talk show WithChude, Pete Edochie stated that he had been unaware of Yul's second marriage to supposed wife Judy Austin as the family had suddenly heard that Yul had "picked" a second wife. The patriarch of the Edochie family asserted that he was not in the habit of interfering in the affairs of his grown sons and only stepped into their private lives whenever his opinion was sought. While stating that he did not wish to cause rivalry by referring to May Yul-Edochie as his favourite daughter-in-law, Pete Edochie firmly declared that he had a special kind of love for May, as he had been longtime friends with her father even before her marriage to his youngest son. The veteran actor gave credit to May for her immense contribution to the erstwhile success of her marriage to Yul.
