Video: Wike Promises Fire And Brimstone In His First Press Statement As Minister Of FCT

 It's no longer a piece of news that Nyesom Wike, former governor of Rivers State is the minister for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. 

Today August 21st, 2023, the minister designates were officially sworn in by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu. However, it's the former governor of Rivers State who has attracted media attention the most. 

In his first press statement as the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike boasted that he will further realize the master plan for the FCT. He threatens that those who have erected buildings to distort the master plan of Abuja should expect the buildings to be demolished under his watch irrespective of how high placed in the society the owners of such buildings are. 

Wike further disclosed that he will reconsider the waste management system of the FCT. He accused the contractors responsible for waste management and disposal in the FCT of dereliction.
