It appears the anticipated war between military juntas who seized power in Niger and the ECOWAS Forces, is at the verge of being a reality.
A few days after the ECOWAS president declared that the West African bloc will deploy its military force to invade Niger necessary to oust the newly installed military government in Niger, the Niger citizens have no doubt declared war against Nigeria. This is because, the Nigeria's president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is also the Chairman of ECOWAS is accused of being the brain behind ECOWAS invasion of Niger. According to speculations, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been promised by France and United States of America their support in retaining his controversial presidential victory should he do their biding by invading Niger.
The video embedded below shows moment Niger citizens invaded the Nigeria's embassy in Niger and set it ablaze to burn to ruin. The once flourishing relationship between Niger and Nigeria has today soured especially as the Nigereins fancy the new military leaders even at the expense of Democratic leadership.
