Video: Military juntas take over in Gabon following flawed general elections

A few weeks after military take over in Niger, a west African country, the military have also seized power in Gabon.

In a broadcast, the juntas led by twelve high ranking members of the Gabonese military, announced that they have truncated the 56 year- rule of the Bongo's dynasty in Gabon.

The juntas annulled the just concluded Gabonese general elections, citing conspicuous electoral malpractices in favour of Ali Bongo.

The Gabonese army following their seizure of control of the country, called for the dissolution of all institutions.

The development has triggered nationwide jubilation in Gabon as the people see the military coup as independent from several decades of internal colonization by the Bongos.
