Nigerians have accused suspended governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele of pretending to be making a phone in court today while he was actually crying.
Emefiele who was granted bail last two weeks by the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, had his illegal possession of firearms charges withdrawn by the prosecutor, the Department of State Security Service (DSS). He is thereafter arraigned for alleged N6.9 billion fraud.
Today, Emefiele appeared before the court for the commencement of his 6.9 billion Naira fraud trial; however, the matter was not heard.
The suspended CBN governor was filmed making a phone call while stooping his shoulders low, ignoring the presence of the journalists' camera trying to get his attention.
Nigerians while reacting to the scene, taunt Emefiele by claiming that he was weeping in court while pretending to be in a phone conversation.
