UNIPORT Undergraduate Stabs Girlfriend To Death In Edo For Calling Him A Kidnapper

 A 24-year-old final-year student of the University of Port Harcourt, Victor Ochonogor, has been arrested by the police in Edo State for the murder of his lover.



Ochonogor, a student of Applied and Industrial Chemistry, allegedly stabbing his girlfriend, Success Regha, to death on Monday at 10, Osahon Street, Ogheghe Quarters, off Sapele Road, Benin City.


It was gathered that Ochonogor and his late girlfriend in the middle of a quarrel locked themselves inside the house and started stabbing each other when the disagreement became intense.

The Edo State Commissioner of Police, Muhammed Dankwara, at a press conference on Tuesday in Benin, revealed that it was Ochonogor's landlord, Emmanuel Momoh that reported the case to the police.


He was said to have stabbed the lady in the neck and chest with a knife.


Ochonogor, while admitting to the crime, told journalists that he had been dating his late girlfriend for three years, adding that she came from Asaba to Benin to visit him and while they were together, she accused him of being a kidnapper and he was angered by the accusation.


“I have been dating her for three years now and she accused me of being a kidnapper. I asked her why she was accusing me of being a kidnapper,” he said.
