The Osun State Police Command has said it will arrest the owners of two Alsatian dogs that attacked a nursing mother identified simply as Mummy Basira, and killed her baby girl, around the Halleluyah Area of Ido-Osun, Osun State on Wednesday, August 30.
It was gathered that the incident happened when Mummy Basira was walking along the street with her baby strapped on her back when the dogs jumped out from their owner's building and attacked her.
The nursing mother and her five months old baby were attacked by the dogs even as she tried unsuccesfully to rescue her baby.

According to residents of the area, the dogs after killing the baby, attacked the mother, inflicting bodily injuries on her.
The spokesperson of the Osun State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, while confirming the incident, said efforts are being made to arrest the owners of the dogs, adding that the police command will ensure that justice will be done in this case.
