President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has appointed Miss Orire Agbaje, a fourth year student of the University of Ibadan as member of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms. Miss Orire Agbaje who is currently studying Economics at the University of Ibadan, was appointed at the presidential villa alongside other seasoned tax experts from the public and private sector all led by tax and fiscal policy expert, Taiwo Oyedele.The committee which was inaugurated by the president Tinubu on Tuesday 8th August, is responsible for various aspects of tax law reforms, fiscal policy design and coordination, harmonisation of taxes, and revenue administration.

20 year old Orire Agbaje is the president of The Tax Club, University of Ibadan, as well as president of the Nigerian Universities Tax Club and on her LinkedIn profile, revealed that she majors in international and monetary economics. She also described herself as "assertive and hardworking". Miss Agbaje also plays a role in the prestigious 2023 Nigeria Higher Education Foundation Scholars Programme.
