TikToker Receives Prison Sentence over Defamatory Words Against Eniola Badmus

 A TikToker identified as Okoye Blessing Nwakaego who was recently arrested by the police over her slanderous and defamatory  allegations against Nollywood actor Eniola Badmus, has been give a three year prison sentence by a Federal High Court in Lagos. The TikToker who was convicted on a two count charge of cyber stalking after she pled guilty, was also given an option of fine to the sum of #150,000 naira in lieu of jail time on both charges. The judge Nicholas Oweibo had offered Blessing Nwakaego the option of fine after he observed her remorse over her crime.

According to reports, earlier in July 2023, Okoye Blessing Nwakaego had teamed up with a man identified simply as Chimabia( who's currently on the run) to spread malicious stories and misinformation against Eniola Badmus. The duo had in a video, accused the actress of being a professional prostitute and pimp who specialized in "hooking up" young and underaged girls to rich and influential citizens for monetary gains. Blessing Nwakaego had confessed to have received the sum of #200,000 naira(which she needed to pay her rent) from Chimabia as payment for spreading misinformation and making the libelous video about Eniola Badmus. The video which went viral, garnered over five million views on different social media platforms.
