Subsidy Removal: Federal Government Allocates ₦5 Billion To 36 States & FCT As Palliative

 The Nigerian government has announced a N5 billion palliative for all the 36 states of the federation, including the Federal Capital territory (FCT).

This was done to cushion the impact of the removal of the petrol subsidy on the citizenry.

The governor of Borno state, Babagana Zulum made the announcement in Abuja on Thursday, when he spoke to State House correspondents after a national economic council (NEC) meeting presided by Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Governor Zulum revealed that the federal government declared the N5 billion palliative to help alleviate the impact caused by the elimination of the petrol subsidy.
