Following the shocking death of veteran Nollywood actor Obinna Nwafor better known as Saint Obi on 7th May 2023, the deceased actor's relative have released an obituary poster detailing the funeral plans. Saint Obi's funeral service is set to take place on 18th August 2023 and the deceased interred at his family home in Imo state. It will be recalled that the 57 year old actor's death generated a great deal of controversies and theories in relation to his personal life and failed marriage, his long and allegedly forced hiatus from the Nollywood film industry.

Saint Obi was an actor, film producer and director known for his roles in Candle Light, Sakobi, Goodbye Tomorrow, Heart of Gold, Festival of Fire, Executive Crime and Last Party. The veteran actor obtained a degree in theatre arts from the University of Jos. Saint Obi ventured into acting in the year 1996, after taking part in a commercial for Peugeot on NTA. He starred in over 60 movies in the course of his career. In 2001, Saint Obi produced his first movie titled "Take Me to Maama", where he starred as Jerry, alongside Ebi Sam, Rachel Oniga, Nse Abel and Enebeli Elebuwa.
